Enjoy a spooktacular time at Market Cross

Shoppers are in for a frightfully good time at Market Cross as the popular shopping centre will be hosting a spooktacular event for Halloween this weekend.

The party will be hosted at the busy Selby-based shopping destination on Saturday, October 26, between 1pm and 3pm.

There will be a live DJ playing spooky favourites, Halloween-themed crafting sessions, free face painting and glitter tattoos.

There will also be a fun dance performance by Sign With Sarah-Jade at 2pm.

Families are also welcome to take part in a pumpkin trail around the centre.

And if you’re really in the Halloween spirit, visitors are invited to take part in a fancy dress competition with a chance to win some top prizes.

The parade will take place near The Hub with judging taking place at about 2.30pm.

“Come and marvel at the fantastic Halloween costumes, enjoy some live entertainment and a whole host of activities.”

In addition to the spooky fun on the centre, Barco Lounge will be hosting a number of Halloween-themed events.

This includes a trick or treat trail around the venue between October 24 and 31. Visitors are invited to try and hunt down ghostly figures dotted around the bar in return for a trick or treat.

Barco is also hosting two Halloween-themed children’s parties – one for kids aged 3 to 6 between 4-5.30pm and another for youngsters aged 6 to 12 between 6.30pm and 8pm.

There will be fancy dress, Halloween-themed food and crafts. Tickets cost £1 and can be picked up from the bar.

The venue’s Halloween-themed quiz takes place on Sunday, October 27, from 7pm, with the chance to win a cash prize. It costs £1 to enter and people are asked to book onto the quiz by ringing the bar on 01757 403126.
