The ‘Hub’ of Market Cross welcomes new owner

The Hub café at Market Cross shopping centre in Selby is undergoing improvements to its space as a new management team take over.
The Hub is known for providing Selby shoppers with the greatest quality coffees, teas, cold drinks and delicious food at unbeatable prices. Its friendly and comfortable atmosphere makes it a popular spot to meet up with friends, stop off for lunch or simply to take a break whilst shopping.
Always aiming to source their food locally, The Hub’s menu is made up mainly of typical British café type food and drinks, however it has one exception, its top quality 100% Arabica traditional Italian coffee!
Dave Whitley, the new owner of The Hub, has spent 38 years being a pub landlord. He has lots of experience within the hospitality industry and knows what customers want when it comes to great food and drink. With his extensive knowledge, there is sure to be some exciting new things coming to the café.
Dave has promising plans for The Hub as he is motivated to drive the business forward with an investment being made to the shop fit and business itself. He has already started making some improvements to the décor and other exciting upgrades.
Dave Whitley said, “I was attracted to The Hub as it has a lovely outdoor seating area and is a popular Selby hotspot with lots of local and regular trade.”
“I am already over the moon with the effect our improvements and changes are having so far and the positive feedback I have received is amazing!
“Some subtle changes will be made to the menu in the future, so keep your eye out for these.”
The Hub is currently open 7 days a week opening from 7:30am until 3pm, allowing improvement works to continue after 3pm. These times will then be extended once the work is complete.
